Port au Prince  by Amrit    3rd Jul 09
Haiti is a beautiful country. But the political situation and security situation made local people frustrated. They do not have hope. 2009 Election shows how much reluctant the people are, participation was very low. If the security situation improves, it can boom fast.

Haiti Best Keep secret  by Jean-Bernard    21st Jun 09
Haiti is different from the rest of the Caribbean. Its Culture, History and hard to found natural unspoiled shores make it a must for the curious adventurer. The day Haiti will open up to tourism everything will change rapidly I hope Haitian will know what to preserve and what to showcase.

Haiti: Island Jewel  by Randy    16th Feb 09
I was there when Baby Doc Duvalier was still in power and you had to be careful of the Ton-Ton Macouts...secret police. But the people were so friendly! For being the poorest country in the world it was amazing how resilient and happy these people were. The country was just as beautiful as th people! Lush tropical forests to pristine beaches along azure seas. Access to a very 'live' reef was easily accessible and affordable. Port au Prince, the capital was hectic. However, further west and out of the hustle of Port au Prince lies Petit Goave. This is where I spent most of my time.
