The country is beatifull, the peo  by Patricia    20th Feb 09
Honduras beaches and northern people are great, however, the so call authorities at the airports and on the roads are pretty disgusting bad mannered and some of them looking for personal profits while making your life miserable. In one case, we were flying from La Ceiba to San Salvador, in an international flight, bought a bottle of wine at the free shop in La Ceiba and the security guards in Toncontin made us leave the bottle to them "for security reasons". All this happened in front of local free shop, where they were selling liquor to the passengers. In a different trip, we were travelling by car and a police man stopped us and requested money in order to let us go.

my little country  by Ofelia    22nd Jun 08
Honduras is a country with many things to show to the world. It is rich on its is history which you can learn about mayan culture or just visit the cuevas of talgua which are truly amazing and you can also spend some time with nature. On Honduras you can visit such great beaches on Bay Islands (which have the second largest coral reef, Australia has the first one) or just visit the beach on Ceiba. Also you can appreciate the nature on Pico Bonito and The Biosfera del Rio Platano. Honduras may be small but its people had a great heart and we will love to share our love with all the people around the world...

2nd stop of cruise  by Deb    22nd May 08
If u go there and take a scenic route, u miss the other side of the coin. The people there make things to sell to the tourist who walk down the streets from the cruise ships. It was just awesome.

Roatan West Side Island  by Doug    27th Mar 08
We were accompanied by a naturalist on an easy 50 minute walk through the Carambola Botanical Garden a jungle garden offering hummingbirds and exotic tropical plants then we stopped for a fresh fruit snack. We enjoyed 20 minutes of free time at the butterfly Farm where parrots and toucans were abundant then we went shopping in the West End Village where we relaxed over Honduran coffee at a scenic and beautiful meeting point built on the water. A musical ethnic group of local dancers of the Garifunas tribe entertain us where we learn how to dance La punta.
