Athens is The birth place of modern civilization & our way of life. A city of the ages & the world. It is a walking museum. Lots a hills and walking so bring comfortable shoes. TOO MANY places to see in one week. And the heat in July is deadly, so keep hydrated carry a bottle of water with you! Santorini and the isles is a 6 hour ferryboat ride ONE WAY. So, if your in the city and wanna get away..take one of those 3 isle tours. Hydra is wonderful.

Just outside the centre of Athens is the district called Nea Smyrni. You can easily visit it by taking the tram from the centre. Take off at the station called Agia Fotini/Plateia and you are there. You can go a walk at the park, visit the square and the business centre of Nea Smyrni, or have a coffee at the square. If you don't want to buy for goods expensive like many people do, in the centre of Athens, then Nea Smyrni it's definitely the best alternative.

Amazing city so rich and full of ancient history buildings...unbelievable. Watch out for people that appear friendly and want to take you to a bar. Those bars have an extremely expensive price lists, and after a couple of drinks they charge you over $ 100. First time I went in I had to fight my way out, after that they tried 4 times more
