Despite living there for only 4 months, I fell in love with the German way of doing things. I word describe it - precision. And I love it. I miss the place too. I managed to travel to Heidelberg, Werthiem and shopping at Menzigen, Stuttgart. The southern parts are beautiful in spring - like fairy tales. Still, winter is magical in Wurzburg. From a temperate country, the whiteness of winter there was amazing.

Frankfurt Auto Show and More by
Donovan 4th Nov 08
I traveled to Germany with some friends primarily for Oktoberfest but also to see as much as possible. We had a friend living in Frankfurt so we made it our home base. We were able to catch the Frankfurt Auto show when we arrived. That was the largest car show I have ever seen. We took a trip down to nerberg ring for some spirited driving on the race track and did general site seeing and trooping from city to city drinking beer and eating food. The Germans were very friendly and made us feel quite welcome. I will definitely be going back, hopefully this year.

Ever since the first trade fair took place here in the Middle Ages, Frankfurt has been shaped by business and commerce. Bankfurt is home to over 400 banks including the European Central Bank and Bundesbank, as well as continental Europe's biggest Stock Exchange.
The City After severe Allied bombing in March 1944, Frankfurt's Altstadt (old town) was almost completely destroyed. Yet there are still many sights to seeāthe Rathaus (City Hall) Rmer, the Leinwandhaus, Paulskirche, Dom and Goethehaus are only a few yards apart from each other. For shopping adventures visit the Schillerpassage, Goethestrae or the Fressgass Passage. Evening entertainment in the form of theatre or other cultural pursuits can be found in places like Schmiere, Tigerpalast Variet Theater or the Volkstheater.
