Greenland in short is an amazing place if you are not wary of the biting cold. The people are really friendly though it is very hard to communicate if you do not know danish. I found it very interesting to go on a fishing trip into the open sea with bone chilling cold hitting you hard. Also I had a chance to fly near the north pole and had a great views of the vast expanse of ICE and the small villages. The capital of Greenland, NUUK (Godthab in Dutch) is one of the most happening places and offers a good choice of night life. A number of Guest houses offer good accommodation in Nuuk. Its practically a good place to visit if you are not timid.
