Lyon is divided into 9 districts. We have decided to present the town to you by quarters, which in our view is more representative than artificially created boundaries.

This is a place that needs more than a day to get round and see all the sights. There is something for everyone. Good amount of shops, great buildings to admire and quirky statues and monuments everywhere. A good selection of restaurants and plenty of very attractive ladies to boot. Definitely worth a re-visit.
Lyon is a really nice town. It has an old part where you should definitely go. But also a huge park with animals where you can go and relax at any time. The food is probably the best in this city. And for the girls, there are thousands of shops!

I had some friends from overseas visiting and as a surprise, I took them to meet some friends in Lyon (which is only 4 hours by train which is why we nick-named the trip "Breakfast in France"). It was rather grey and the sun didn't come out all day but we went up to the cathedral, walked through the arts market and had a very good lunch at one of the street cafés. It was a very great day and Lyon is certainly worth visiting (maybe not on a Sunday, though... all shops were closed).
