PARIS  by Quatre2006    4th Nov 09
Paris is an interesting city, lots of movement a shock to the senses for someone like me coming from a country of small islands. I must admit to feeling quite lost at times as it is huge bigger than my country. I got to see the Eiffel tower and the Arc de Triophe quite majestic and mind boggling. There was such a crowd this summer that even though i wanted I didn't get the chance to go on top of the Eiffel tower. The louvre exceptional a vision of arts at its best, didn't get to see everything maybe at a later date definitely. The old churches were magnificent, as you feel the echo of time gone past. Not to forget the artists found at almost every street near a restaurant, playing to their audience, and the magician capturing the attention of every kid and adult in the vicinity, and not to forget the hip hop dancers near virgin aux champ Elyssee. The trip was memorable and not one to be forgotten easily.

Paris and Southern France  by Tim    11th Sep 09
France is a wonderfully sophisticated country .... it has style and charm in abundance, fine wine, great food, stunning scenery in the south and simply the most fantastic capital city on earth make this country a very special place. Prices are steep and it is not the easiest place on earth to make friends (maybe because I am English), however these factors pale into insignificance when one encounters the artisic and architectural beauty of Paris.... Notre Dame is one of the most perfect buildings I have ever seen ..... furthermore strolling down the broad leafy avenues and taking time out for a cafe au lait while daily life slowly passes by is ideal for many an aspiring artistic mind.

La Plagne  by Sam    1st Apr 09
Im not a big fan of crowded cities. Although I love to travel, Paris was never included in my itinerary. The French Alps, however....is Heaven On Earth! It is Snowboarder's Paradise. Nothing stands between man and sky once you get on top of those mountains. I was in awe and felt Pure Euphoria. If God decided to call me home while I was on top of the mountain, I would have gladly held hands with him, followed his lead and ask.....Where are we going?? I thought I was already in heaven .

Merci !  by Mk    22nd Feb 09
we visited Paris from Nov. to april (office mate)l and we had a good time, I was pleasantly surprised at how kind and helpful most of the French people we encountered were. The city is beautiful and one thing I forgot is how late it gets dark there, usually light until 9 or 10 at night, which is great because you have the whole day to explore. One thing you definitely need to bring is an umbrella it rained on and off when we were there and you don't want to get stuck without one. Also be prepared to spend, food and other little expenses do add up, it didn't help that we mostly ate at restaurants, but we couldn't help it. Overall great city, i think its a little overrated but still amazing and worth at trip. Next time I will venture out into the french countryside, i think that will be even better! Merci !

Bonjour  by Colleen    11th Oct 08
I honestly didn't expect to get much out of France (particularly Paris), but interestingly enough, I did. I managed to see Paris in depth, but would like to see more of the country at a later date (if I can). And like Belgium, Italy and Holland, it is definitely a food-lovers paradise, and an art-lover's one as well.
