Copenhagen, Denmark

INNER CITY All Denmark's roads, trains, and bicycle paths lead to the heart of the Capital. The Inner City is the unrivalled commercial and cultural centre in the entire country; and, if Slotsholmen is included, also the political. Always buzzing with activity and crammed with people, the city is only completely empty on Sundays, as very few people actually live here. This is a ... more info

Copenhagen,l here I come  by Agula    8th Sep 08
Honestly, my trip to Copenhagen came sooner than I had planned. Bravo to my self for attracting this success. The boat tours along the numerous city canals occasioned by the rare tunes of my 'Akogo' (thumb piano) music especially as I lowered my head to avoid the low lying bridges. I know. I am perhaps the first Ugandan to play the famed Akogo African music instrument during such boat tours in Copenhagen. I like breaking records, and this was one of them. I am sure, the Danish Royal family got a little puzzle from the wild Akogo music since our little boat was lucky enough to pass the returning royal boat. I did not take many a photo since I was preoccupies playing the Akogo music. Well I thought, really that it was the next rare thing. Anyhow I have many colleagues who had all sorts of cameras. They took many photos including some of me doing what I do best.

food and fashion  by Saskia    3rd Oct 08
Copenhagen is a wonderful city, very small but with the looks of a big city like Paris. Skip the little mermaid and go shopping for fashion and design. Enjoy lovely terraces and eat carrot cake when having coffee. Check out the small side streets of Stroget, the shopping street and go ice skating on Kongens Nytorv. Nyhavn is very pretty and offers a good selection of nice restaurants with a view on water. All Danish food is delicious, so resist the urge to visit fast food restaurants, you won't have Lax like this anywhere else in the world! If you're a real fashion enthusiast, don't forget to visit the CPH fashion fair! Careful for bicycles, half of CPH rides a bicycle so you may want to check if you cross the street.

Aristocratic!  by Lora    22nd Jul 08
After 2 weeks in Denmark I decided that there is not a better place than Kobenhavn:) I loved it!Many museums (don't miss Madame Tusseaud's museum), attraction parks (TIVOLI!), a lot of discotheques (Bombay was one of the biggest when I was there in 2003!), many shopping centers (enter in MAGASIN and you won't regret!) and of course the danish castles and canals are making Kobenhawn one of the most beautiful cities in the world!

A trip in town  by Sara    8th Jul 08
I found Copenhagen a very interesting city. Well organized, clean, fantastic to go on foot or by bike because there is a big area closed to the car traffic. the old town area is interesting, amazing the tivoli's park in the center of town. The channels with all those wonderful boats. The Carlsberg brewery is another traditional and interesting place to visit.
