Tooth of the Dog is one of the top 10 courses in the World and it was worth every penny when we golfed there in Jan08 off of our Carnival Cruise excursion 185.00 US a round including cart and caddy(must tip after and supply water on the course for your caddy,they recommend 2 per twosome but you can use 1 caddy only) Very expensive food and drink on the course, so we packed a lunch from deli and powerless we snick onto/off the ship. All the wholes along the ocean were so scenic & beautiful and so were the inland ones too. Don't golf the over priced sister course "Capa ..." on the same golf resort it's all inland dry and over priced the other golfers told us it was a waste of 185.00US. So we were so Happy we booked our tee time a month before our cruise through Carnival excursions as they only get a few tee times per port.ENJOY...Bonnie

It was an awesome experience, specially since we stayed at an all inclusive hotel. The hotel was awesome as well as the food and the views. The people there treated us great. We had an awesome weekend.

We hated it. The airport was filthy, it rained everyday, food poisoning made it impossible to do anything, we were all extremely ill. The resort was lovely but, we were too sick to enjoy it.

IT WAS GREAT! We stayed at Barcelo Palace Hotel....and they treated us like royalty! It was beautiful all around...they have activities for kids and adults...and when i say we I meant; my husband, my daughter (15 yrs) and another couple and their kid....I definitely recommend this place to everyone! IT WAS GREAT AND I ENJOYED IT FULLY! we are planning on going next year again!

We stayed at Lifestyle Tropical Beach and Spa in Puerto Plata. Weather was great,especially since it is supposed to be the rainy season!
