Warm and welcoming  by Karensabomb    11th Feb 09
Had a great time in the Domincan. We found the locals were very friendly and the side trips fun. You could walk for miles along the beach in Punta Cana.

Rain Forest and Water Falls  by Toney    25th Aug 08
I liked Dominica. I especially liked the rain forest and the water falls. I climbed the rocks too! Check out the pics) The best part was it started raining I mean it poured we got totally drenched. It made the whole walking through the bush experience feel like a adventure... It was great I couldnt have planned it if I tried....We hired a taxi for the day and he really went above and beyond making us feel welcome. We stopped to pick fruit and take pics.... I heard other people say that their tour didn't stop at all or enough, our guy was great...

Rain Forest, Waterfalls, Hiking  by Greg    8th Jun 08
We loved Dominica! We sailed our boat through a dozen countries in the eastern Caribbean and Dominica was our favorite (second favorite: Saba). We like to hike, especially through the rain forest and double especially if the destination is a water fall and for this Dominica is perfect. And we really enjoyed the snorkeling and also soaking in natural hot mineral baths. Possibly the only downside to Dominica is that there are not many beaches, and those few are not very big. But that keeps the hordes of tourists away, which is a small price for us. There are no mega-resorts, mostly small guest houses and a few smallish hotels. The people are very friendly, and while most are poor, they are very happy and very industrious.
