i was simply charmed by its beauty and fascinated by its historical wealth!!! you can visit the castles and churches in the old Praha, cruise on river Vlatava that flows through the city, party at the vibrant night clubs or just chill out at the old town square over a glass of lager beer. Celesta is a colorful place for shopping and the famous black theater which is a combination of theater, puppetry, mime, ballet, music and magic, is a must see item! i had been to Praha in spring and found the the weather most pleasant. you must also go for a beer tour in and around Praha, especially at the Pilsner town where Pilsner lager is produced. dumplings and roasted ducks are the most popular Czech cuisines. things to buy there: crystals, wall clocks, puppets and dolls and ceramics.
This was a great party town. I stayed in New Town..didn't bother doing any tours or even fully crossing Charles Bridge. Walking around was great, they have good touristy things to do and everything was easy to find. The party scene was awesome, very loose and easy to get anything you wanted. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to party and get laid.
I only went there a couple times and it was just day trips. I went mainly for the great prices on china. It's a very historical place though very old buildings. Not very many people that speak English there.
How I love the beautiful old Catholic Churches in Prague!
I was able to walk through the bridge where Tripple X starring Vin Diesel was shot, truly amazing! Met some nice friends and visited an old castle too.
I could hardly imagine how so many people there have Catholic names but have remained agnostic as a consequence of the communist regime.
