I incidentally missed my ship bound for Brazil in Praia. And I can bet it was the best thing that ever happened to me in my life. I really enjoyed the night life over there. The people are really friendly and you always have best value for your money. Live bands with Latino songs can send you into ecstasy. I really really never regret I miss my ship. If you have the opportunity, why not take a vacation there?

been there twice for few hours small island full of life

I loved Santiago Island and the Cabo Verde people. They were kind, helpful and so musical. My highlights of Santiago was the walks in the interior around and on the way to Asomadar, the great music, Cidade Velho and the seafood. I loved the peace, relaxed atmosphere and the cleanliness of Sao Filipe on Fogo Island and enjoyed exploring the Pico volcano and walking the slopes around Mosteiros.
