I've been there 2 times. Is always nice to come back. The mountain is with snow until July. Is nice to be visited also in the Summer when is hot in the big cities but very fresh in Bansko. The prices are different - depends on what you're looking for. You can sleep cheap or extremely expensive. The local are ok - not the nicest but also not the worst. The food is perfect and you can enjoy real Bulgarian folk music there. Near Rila monastery - the most beautiful monastery in Bulgaria and a must to be visited. Bansko is also not so far away from the border with Greece.
