My husband and I decided to drive to this small town which is not far away from Plovdiv. I was disappointed by the old half destroyed city-center, the bad roads(even inside the town) and the bad food even in the best cafeterias chain in Bulgaria - Lavazza! Dimitrovgrad is famous with the oriental local music called in Bulgarian "chalga" or simply "folk" (not the real folkloric music!).
