Kyustendil is close to the border with Macedonia and is an average town. The prices of the clothing here are low because the town is famous with its factories. They're producing the best Bulgarian shoes called DARIS, and they aren't very cheap. The local are ok, not the most friendly but also not the worst. There is a half destroyed mosque in the city-center - some of the local don't want it to be there, want to destroy it, but the rest of the local (some of them Muslim) would like to renovate the mosque.
