Mezdra is a small town, located near Vratsa in the North-West part of the country. It's an important railway spot - most of the trains from North Bulgarian are passing by Mezdra that's why the train station is a big one. The town was popular with its factories and industry in the past but after the communist time is over everything changed - most of the factories closed and now the one bigger working factory is Ledenika - which is the local beer(by the way is a good one). The prices of food, cloths etc are low so is not a problem for buying something. The city-center has been renovated and looks nice. A good place for 1-2 days trip.
