Vratsa is close to Mezdra where I have a summer house. The town is quite big for the Bulgarian standards - is about 70 000people. The food is ok and the prices are low. The prices of the clothes and shoes are also low so is a good place to buy these stuffs. Is a sunny place in May and the summers are really hot. The winters are cold because the town is in the mountain. You can "jump" to Ledenika cave which is close to the town. There is also a monument of Botev - a big Bulgarian fighter for the freedom of our country. In general is a good one-two days trip.
