great shopping, beautiful buildings, friendly people and great fries, what more can you hope for:) also lots of cafe's and restaurants . great place to spend a weekend away with your lover or with your friends

Just amazing;)Too bad everybody speaks Dutch(Flemish) and not French or English:)But is an amazing place with beautiful architecture and lots of places of interest:) The Stone - castle on the river, is great place to relax for a while..The Grote markt square has the most beautiful fountain with good historical/mystical background. The shopping areas are great and the restaurants and the pubs are all over...Don't miss to take a picture of the cathedral of Our lady - magnificient... If you have time and you're willing to do it - explore the underground town of Antwerp - lots of "streets" down there;) Love it:)

The Zomer van Antwerpen (Summer of Antwerp) is a city funded event that happens all summer long. Its great festivities include but are not limited to free concerts, live performances both dance and musical, great food, & free movie night five nights a week for a whole month by the river in the city center.
