Upon visiting bruges, you will immediately notice that this city has always carefully cherished its architectural and artistic treasures from the past.
what makes bruges so typical though, is the way it deals with this past today.
the people of bruges would like to invite you to join them and to enjoy it as much as they do.
I only just stopped in for a few hours, but I enjoyed myself. It was raining off and on, but I didn't mind so much. The people were nice and many spoke English. I loved walking through the little alleys. I wish I could have stayed for a little while longer.
Lots of shopping and places to eat.
Absolutly brilliant I thought it was a shame I could not see more of this magnificent city but I was only there for a long weekend but I would recommend everyone go there.
Traditionally everybody that goes on tours in Belgium stops in Brugge. NO wonder why... it's beautiful canal, going through the heart of the town, defines this place as the "Venice of the North". A boat trip is worth it, especially when it's sunny. The medieval environment just makes you enjoy more your time there.
I just loved it. been there 3 times. i absolutely recommend this town.
People call it 'The little Venise of the North'.
I've never been to Venise but I think this is really true.
This is a charming city with lots of canal, and it's lovely to walk near them.
Unfortunately at this time of the year, it wasn't possible to go on them by boat, but I'm sure I will go again in summer time.
