awesome city  by Bil    22nd Aug 09
It is also known as Northern Venice of Europe. So this complement is more than enough to explain about beauty of city. Belgium Chocolates and beer make it paradise. So its a good place to spend few days of your life here.

Worth to visiti!  by Lora    2nd Feb 09
I visited Bruges with my husband in the early December (avoid this time for visit!) and the weather was quite cold! Wasn't exactly the right time for a romantic sailing on the canals... But was great to visit the local Christmas market and taste the tasteful food. The climbing of Belfry tower is a must - you feel like master of the world when you're on the top of the tower. If you have extra time visit the Diamond museum. While we were there we visited the ice exposition next to the railway station. Was just awesome - the entrance ticket was quite expensive but you won't regret! The shopping is also one of the things you can "practice" here;)

Welcome to Venice of the North!  by Annelies    3rd Feb 08
Bruges is a wonderful city (and I can say that because I live there!). It has a lot of medieval history, a great collection of art (Flemish Primitives all over the place) and monuments. It's a small city, but worth visiting. To visit the main and most important things, you should count a day or three. With three days you can enjoy the gastronomy (count one day extra to get over a hangover from the fine beers we have ;-) ), the musea and monuments, take the boat on the beatiful canals and the peaceful atmosphere in the city. Beers: try Brugse Zot, Brugs Wit and Straffe Hendrik.. The beers of the city. Food: try fries (they're NOT French, but Belgian hehe) with mayonnaise in one of the two 'shops' on the Market Square, or the complete dish: add a fine steak and a sauce of pepper or mushrooms. This you can eat in generally every restaurant in Bruges. Want to know more? Just ask!
