My husband and I went to Leuven yesterday and was an amazing experience. The town is not that big and had excellent connections to Brussels - by train or by car. 25min train ride and you arrive a bit outside the city-centre just 15min walk to the heart of the town. The architecture of the town is amazing - make sure you're bringing your camera with you. The town Hall's building and St. Peter's church - opposite the Town hall are remarkable buildings. The shopping is also great - super deals:) The open air market on Saturday is great for those who like home made food such as conserved veggies, home made cheese, milk..etc:) Would love to go back there!
