For anyone who has been to Belgium but has not visited this little town: it is a shame! Namur is the capital of the french-speaking part of Belgium (Wallonia) and has a lot to offer on a very short distance. Two rivers flood into one in the middle of the city (la Meuse and la Sambre) Places to visit: old namur (le pietonier) la citadelle de Namur, les berges. Once you're in the region, you have to visit some of the surroundings too: Maredsous abbey (you have to try the cheese, beer and bread!), Dinant. If you are quite sporty, than you can follow the main river on bike or by kayak.
