A statue of Adelaide's founding father, Colonel William Light, stands atop Montefiore Hill and gazes proudly across the city he helped to create. Below him rolls an expanse of attractive green parkland, resplendent with rose beds, peppered with trees and dominated by the ivy-clad Adelaide Oval. To the rear of the cricket ground lies lazy Torrens ... more info

Adelaide City, australia  by Sue    1st Nov 09
I love Adelaide its the 7th liveable city in the world as its cost of living is not very high compare to Sydney and other major cities. Adelaide is the festival state of Australia and its easy to get around too. The wineries and cheese tasting are great especially at the Baroosa Valley, the football match at the AAMI Stadiumi love it and the people are very friendly .

Adelaide City  by Jason    23rd Jun 09
A pretty and easy going city and suburbs with friendly and fun people. Great beaches and parks. 20mins to the Hills and 20 minutes to the beach from the city centre. Barossa and other wineries nearby and a great sporting capital of Australia. A wonderful place to grow up and a lovely place to visit.

Adelaide My Home Town  by Geoff    8th Jun 09
Adelaide has brought some of the unique architecture from England and some of the small municipalities are just amazing. The weather is generally mild but it can get chilly in the winter and of course it does have its very hot days during the summer. The city is quite easy to get around and the public transport is efficient and can deliver you to most places of interest. I really love the feel of Glenelg and just walking down to the jetty. Of course then there are the best wineries in Australia located 1 1/2 hours drive from the city. Nothing can beat McLaren Vale and Angaston as two of the most beautiful country centres. I always enjoy my return visits to Adelaide and will always regard as my "home".

I sincerely do agree with all the reviews, it is a very attractive city for all those want to experience and see the true and amazing beauty of Australia. The city has modern universities and schools that provide world class education for everyone and affordable accommodations for students, families’ and visitors. The city has attractive and luxury locations such as parks, beaches, art galleries, libraries, large shopping malls, entertainment centers, restaurants that provide quality food, modern transport infrastructure facilities and people who are friendly and helpful.
