Situtated on the outskirts of Melbourne, we stayed there back in 1984. I would recommend hard top accomodation during Autumn and Winter, as the Dandenongs can get quite cold during Winter. Dandenong is accessable by road and rail to Melbourne, and not far is the Puffing Billy steam engine at Belgrave
