Bulani, Kebab and Pomegranates by
Swanie 30th Jan 09
Beautiful people and place. Not to mention the delicious bulani and kebab. They are right fall to early winter are the best time to visit the place. Oh, I almost forgot, the sugary sweet pomegranates. I will never forget the sweet taste in my tongue. I love to come back and explore more not just the city but the northern and southern part of the country. Next in my list, Bamiyan and Ghazni. How about Jalalabad?

For when conditions re-settle by

What makes Kabul is not the architecture (most of it is pretty ordinary), although behind walls it can be very lovely. It is the geography simply stunning, and the people. I think it not possible to meet a more warm and hospitable people. It remain befuddled as to how such as society can become so self-destructive. Anyway if there to go from Autumn to early spring. Beautiful weather. Summer can be a bit dusty For the first time in my life I actually saw snow - and it was in Kabul in December. Also the most beautiful roses can be found here.
