I'm heading to Negril in February....resort on 7 mile beach..is Rick's Cafe and other places of interest within walking distance?

Any other tips / advice greatly appreciated!! Thanks......

Half moon beach just north of Negril is very relaxed and not too well known. A good time for sure. Check out Treasure Beach if you have some time to travel a bit.

When in Negril skip the all inclusives and pick a hotel or resort on the Seven Mile Beach. Don't be afraid to mingle with the locals as its the only true way to experience Jamaica. We stay at the Negril Beach Club Condo's close to the Negril Town site. Wonderful beach and lots of great things to do. We go at least once a year!

I got addicted to Negril in 2002, it was very early in the year and i noted the city buzzing with activities. Why, I could not overcome the joy seen on each face. As i enquired in found that there are more visitors to the city than residents and of the residents there are more immigrants than natives. As I continued I found there was great organization in the activities and very little room for discomfort. As I give my update we will see more of the reasons Negril is a very amazing city and why we should all try to be there

all right every summer @ the end of july or the beginning of july NEGRIL is the place to be. Why ? because the sickest parties, hypest people, goes the down to negril for ATI or RTI parties. RTI means Red Stripe Treasure Island and ATI means Appleton Treasure Isle. these events entails a whole weekend of partying. People from all around the world come to these events. cant wait till this summer.

If you're going to Negril be sure to go to Rick's Cafe on the cliffs. It's not really walking distance from the 7 mile beach, a taxi might be better. I would also check out X-tabi and the lighthouse Inn (the food is great there). Don't bother with all inclusives, stay at a local hotel or rent a holiday home; I found a very nice one on www.holidayhomes4hire.com
As for food, you have to try some jerk chicken from a street vendor, not a restaurant!
For nightly entertainment check out Alfred's Ocean Palace and the jungle night club.

negril is a very wonderful place with lots of friendly people it is consist of beautiful beaches and lots of scenery for persons who like excitement there is the famous rick's cafe, for persons who just want to view the horison there is the light house tower which is 100ft from the ground then there is always the beach for the persons who want a tan or just swimming and interacting please enjoy negril when you come here.

this Famous Ricks cafe was not good not friendlig people in the bar and to american ,not coming to Jamaica to se a american cultur.

negril is cool, check out sunset on the beach resort,u have a club call the jungle u will love it,also rick,s cafe i no i was there 3weeks ago, its fantastic

When in Negril one must visit the special places like Blue hole in Little bay, Roaring River, west end, Xtabi on the cliffs caves, River Walk by Flower Hill, Ys Falls, Pelican Bar Black river. Snorlking at Xtabi is encreadiable!!

I work in negril for ten year,at one of the all inclusive hotel;we have the best sandy beaches,warm and friendly people, and soon to live in negril,over looking the beach.If you are a lover of the coral reef and nature, our beaches and countryside is a natural resort to vacation.
