Come during the Horn-bill Festival. i.e. Dec. 1 to 7. It'll be very cold so bring something warm. But if you have not made an advance reservation, it'll be tough to get one during this time of the year.

Misty mornings, clouded noons and chilling nights. Kohima receives sunrise very reluctantly and people always walk with either a shawl, or coat as most of the time it is very cold there. Sundays are very quiet, you find most of the shops closed and people take complete rest as like a pure Sabbath of the Jews.Mostly christians nagas lead a very passionate life western oriented but simple in their attitude and behavior.Occasionally insecure due to tribal insurgence which is slowly dying due to efficient dialogue takes place with Government.
