During the summer a boat trip on the Danube is a good way for a sightseeing tour. The tourist attractions are quite far from each other (Buda side and Pest side) so the "Hop on Hop off" tours are highly recommended. The public transport service is not the best and taxis are expensive.
I have been there long time ago...but it remain in my memory as one of the most beautiful cities I ever been in....Magical Danube makes this city more beautiful....You should visit it if you want to discover city filed with mixture of old and new, education and fun during wonderful nightlife.

I was live in a little and nice town near to Budapest (40km). It name is: Ráckeve. The town is very nice, old, and interesting. You can see there: river Danube, SPA, ruins, churchs... If you want to do it: swimming, relaxing, fishing, cycling.
