not sure about the prices of hotels. best just searching on google, but old trafford isn't far from the city center only a few stops on the metrolink or a short taxi ride so any hotel in town would be okay. oh and Lindon has left keko.

Went to Manchester to see Man Utd play. City is great, but did not have as much time there as would have liked. We stayed in a place called Nuttsford which is a train ride away from city centre. Beautiful little town with great pubs and cafes. If you are into footie its worth going just once to Old Trafford, even if you dont support them :O)

So many negative comments about United, just because even with a billionaire owner City still can't win! Manchester is red and City's cracking up!

I lived in Manchester, I can go on and on but ofcouse there are some interesting places depending what sort of person you are. According to Sean that's about it if you are a party animal who just can't sit still and minute by minute you need to do get out and about. As for football fans there's two very famous football club.Man United and Man City.
Away from Manchester not that far ..there's Lake district,Peak district and non other than the famous Blackpool. Day trip will do the business.
You could prefer check it out on the net which is very helpful too as I may missed out interesting place.

Hi just got to Manchester and looking for some good pubs where I could hear Hard Rock or New Metal music. Would be great to know if there is Rockabilly or Psychobilly pubs.
Thanks for your help.

Manchester is a great and vibrant city to visit, you will see old and modern buildings. A short trip out of town is manchesters airport with rail and buses link to almost anywhere in the city. The science museum, the art gallery, the royal exchange, the palace theatre, the football museum, Old trafford. Also the Gay village, the night life is good. For sports or for football fans there are two very famous football clubs; Man United and Man City. The aquatic centre, the velodrum. etc there are some interesting places depending on what sort of person you are. You could prefer check it out on the internet which is very helpful too as I may missed out interesting place.

Thank you very much. I visited the Science museum, Art Gallery, Opera House and Football museum. I am not interested in night life and I am not used to go to pubs as I don't drink beer but I was at the concert of classical music in Bridgewater Hall and it was fantastic! I like Manchester
