Liverpool has wide range of activities and great transport links to around the northwest. Liverpool has a concert arena, football tours of liverpool and everton fc. the duck tour which you can get from the world famous albert dock. 2 lovely catherals and has more listed building than any other city outside of London. loads of green spaces walkes along the waterfront the world famous mersey ferry crossing , the radio city tower is open to the public for tours and great views of the city and surrounding areas. night life goes from the beatles home mathew st to the very trendy concert square, and the albert dock hasloadsofresturantand bars,

I have been to Liverpool only once. I arrived in May, it was quite cold for this time of the year but I really liked it. I had a beautiful trip by boat on the Mersey River - it is one of the best things you can do being in Liverpool - and the panorama of the city center was really great. I met also lovely people leaving there. Hoping to come back again.

Inhabitants of Liverpool are referred to as Liverpudlians but are also known as "Scousers", in reference to the local meal known as 'scouse', a form of stew. The word 'scouse' is probably a contraction of 'lobscouse'. If that is the case, then the Lancashire stew known as 'lobby' may well also have the same roots. The word scouse has also become synonymous with the Liverpool accent and dialect. In 2007 the city celebrated its 800th anniversary, and in 2008 it holds the European Capital of Culture title together with Stavanger, Norway.
