IN MY POINT OF VIEW PATHANAMTHITTA IS THE CENTRAL PART OF TRAVANCORE AND IT IS OFTEN CALLED LAND OF SPIRITUALITY BECAUSE OF SABARIMALA PILGRIM $ MARAAMAN CONVENTION . THIS DISTRICT IS ALSO CALLED THE FINANCIAL BACKBONE OF KERALA , THE PRIME IN NRI INCOME . IT IS ALSO CALLED EDUCATIONAL HUB . WE HAVE A VERY BLESSED AND FERTILE LAND WITH HILL FOREST ON THE BORDERS OF THIS DISTRICT . IT IS A FABULOUS TOURIST DESTINATION WITH MANY WATER FALLS , BOAT RACE , TRADITIONAL FESTIVALS LIKE {MAKARA VILAKKU} AND SO ON .

It is a land blessed by nature with lush green plains, majestic water falls and mountains. Pathanamthitta town is located on the fertile banks of the River Achankovil and
placed in the very heart of the Central Travancore region of Kerala, India. It is the convergent point for the famous Hindu pilgrim center of Sabarimala. The three major rivers near by are Pampa, Achankovil and Manimala are over flow in the rainy season.
Pathanamthitta is the District Capital and is the market for cash crops like rubber, Coffee beans, Cocoa, pepper, Coconut, Ginger and other major products.
Other attractions near by are Konni safaris and trekking spot which provide exciting experiences. Perunthenaruvi Water Falls 15 km from Pathanamthitta town located on the Western Ghats of Sahyadri Range, perunthenaruvi is very famous and draws a good number of sight seeing tourists.
