I´m afraid I can´t help you very much about Vigo as it is more than 25 years since I was there. I do recall that I loved the place. Small harbour, nice people and it was nice weather while I was there. David

¿Vigo? It is a nice city where you can eat very well (remember that the best seafood in Spain comes from Galicia!!), you have interesting places to see: Monte do Castro, Castrelos and, of course, nice beaches: Samil, Patos.... They are city beaches, not the best in the region, but nice and clean. It is also a good city to go shopping in the street, i.e, you don´t need to go to any megamall to find all the shops you like. Instead you can find all of them going for a walk along Principe Street and Gran Via. You have nices coffees if you feel tired... You´ll see it.

If you want expensive drinks and fashion clubs "el arenal" is your place. But for me is much better the clubs in the old town. It's my favorite part of Vigo.
I was living here for 4 years and is changing a lot. My favorite place in the old town is "calle Real" where you can find diferent music. In the beginning you can find Heavy music in "el Frenopátiko" good heavy metal music and cheap drinks. Going down you can find "El huevo" (ovo in galician language) typical place in old town to get a quick shot with boiled egg (yes egg, is a tradition). Then you find "El porrón" the best place to drink diferent shots and mixed drinks. "porrón glass" is a special glass so much funny... And the last one, my favorite club in the old town "El Faneco" pop/rock music, cheap drinks and good company
