The are many beautiful things to see in the town core, but if you are feeling more ambitious the surrounding area can give you a feel of beauty of the island, Goldstream park is a half hour from down town and is a beautiful nature park, it offers hiking and nature walk opportunities

You can find almost everything you want in Victoria in the downtown core. Buy a guidebook and walk around. If I were you, I wouldn't bother with a tour bus - unless you want to go see the Gardens. Use your feet. You'll see everything. Be sure to wander around in James Bay. It's right beside downtown and the Legislative Buildings.

My first visit anywhere outside of the USA. I Loved Victoria and the Canadian's hospitality.

Absolutely agree with Jan! Wander around the inner harbour and check out the parks and such. If you are feeling ambitious then see the rest of the island in a rental car because it is a beautiful island.

Take an afternoon and visit the inner harbour. Buskers will delight you and your friends for hours.
