I've lived in Auckland for the last 12 years, it is the most beautiful place in the world, I have been to 10% of the world (as per WAYN) and the more cities I see the more I believe that Auckland is the best.
Fresh air, open spaces, bush, beach, sand, night life, restaurants, caffe, fashion, islands, wine, beer, fresh food, you name it, Auckland got it.
Plus friendly, laid back people welcoming visitors & generally very helpful.

Right now is possibly the best time of the year to be visiting. Not to hot. Cooler mornings and great sunny days. This will last through to early May.

The bottom line is. What turns you on. What activities are you wanting to do. As mentioned earlier, great sailing, Vine yards, islands, beaches, bush treks, golf, and a whole lot more.
Call me when you are in town. The jug is always on.

I lived in New Zealand for 3 years. The place is Beautiful. Apart from the Natural Beauty and scenery, the people are amazing, friendly, co=operative, non Racist.
