I have been in Winnipeg all my life and don't regret any of it. We have everything you would be looking for and if interested on beaches i suggest Grand Beach as it is in the top 7 best in the world. If you are interested in seasons well for winter you can come in December to March and for summer you can come in June to September. The Forks is a major place to see and you can even stay at the Forks Inn which is on the grounds. the forks is located in the downtown area being the center of Winnipeg. The forks has all kinds of shops and restaurents that have exotic foods and articals for sale from all over the world. It will be worth the trip i surely think you won't be disappointed.

I've been to Winnipeg a few times. My favourite time was in the middle of winter when a bunch of us went down to the Forks where they have the longest ice paths in Canada. All lit up amonst the dark. My boyfriend and I went off to skate on the river. We held hands as we skated under the bridges and along side the buildings, it was the most romantic thing ever! And I'm not one for romance, so that's saying a lot LOL

Winnipeg is a great place to visit... lots to see and do...! If you like sports... take in a Jets game. Winnipeg is notoriously famous for restaurants of any culture...! You name it... we have it!
