Montreal...a city rich with different ethnicity, ethnic restaurants ranging from Haitian food to Italian, the best bagels, smoke meat, poutine " a Quebec dish made out of French fries with melted cheese on top bathed in a brown sauce...uuum yummyyy, different pizzas my favorite being the Boston Pizza, curry houses all along on Victoria street served by Trinidadains, Indians and Sri-lankans my only wish would be to see a Creole curry from my island Seychelles !!!....Montreal has an active nite life...from clubbings , piano bars to cigars lounges you name it....for those with some mischievous taste there are the reknown peep shows..all along Ste_ Catherin street and St-Laurent and even one for the naughty women...club 281....great of a girl`s night out....Montreal is always lively...great spirit...great fashions...alle Montreal!!!!!!!

4 years I lived in Montreal, a city where you can enjoy its past and present simply to cross a street, I met many people of different nationalities, Montreal is a cultural city, I had the opportunity to talk to people who never in imagined my life would cross word if I had stayed in my country, and that friend if you have the opportunity to leave your country and other cultures to know other countries are going to enrich your life.

Martin Cirino from Pointe-aux-Trembles, Canada Martin Replied to Terry's comment
Terry: English is not banned. The Quebec government passed a by-law requiring all businesses to put up their signs in french. If it's bilingual, the french part has to be twice the size of the other language. If you go downtown or in the West Island, you have a good chance of being served in english. I've been living here in Montreal all my life (30 years in Montreal-North, 3 years in Longueuil and 7 in Montreal (Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve and RDP/PAT)).
