We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express on Av. Vitacura. The room is fantastic! A good size and great view. The up side is that it is close to a variety of restaurants and there was an antique market in the park a few blocks away. The price of the room was very reasonable for being down town and the front desk staff were very helpful as well as being gorgeous. If you stay here do not expect to be at a full service hotel, that is not what this chain does. What it does is supply a decent room that is clean and a good size with good security.

If you make it here go to the restaurant Coco Loco. It specializes in sea food and it is very good. I had sea bass with a crab sauce and my wife had sea food risotto and we shared parmisain razor clams. All of it tasted delicious. The wine (350ml) and fantastic and the dessert called Suspencion Limeno (sp) is orgasmic! All of it came to 4100 pesos and well worth it!

Good Morning
I'll be at Santiago from 12 to 16 March, I'd like some tips about places to visit.

Declan Hughes from Dublin, Ireland (Republic Of.) Declan
The central historic quarter is worth seeing you can also get photographs of the parliament buildings and the President's Office from the outside. You don't have much time so it's very difficult to suggest to much .

the best thing you could do visiting Santiago .. first, rent a car with GPS and be sure that you'll have the chance to visit many places. The rate per day will be around $50.00 per day in a compact car (use only local companies.. the international one will charge you your regular fee in your country) In Santiago we have a wide offer of hotels, even apartments to rent for a very good rate. If you are in Santiago or planning to come here, send me an e-mail and I could make reservations for you and after pick you up from the airport, I could give you my own suggestions!!!
