Arriving: I don´t know whether there are currently international direct flights to Curitiba. However, there are lots of domestic flights from other Brazilian cities. During winter, you should avoid early morning or late evening flights. In that time of the year it´s common the local airport to be closed due to visibiliity conditions. Besides cabs, there's a cheap and confortable bus line that takes you straight to downtown.

Seeing: for something under USD 15 a tourist line ride will take you to the main sights of the city. As other stated, parks are a must.

Weather: Curitiba is famous for its ever changing weather. Locals say it's not true that the city has only one season: Winter. It has all four seasons, usually during the very same day. So, be prepared for low and high temperatures, sun and rain, everything the climate can offer, in a few hours period.

If you are comfortable and have no problem with big cities, then Curitiba will be no issue for you. I lived there for 6 months and keep only the good, but the public transportation is beyond what a person can bear! Also walking there made me nauseous. On the other hand I visited many places I liked as the Botanic Garden, the big malls...
My last stay there was at hostel Roma near Estação Shopping Center, which I recommend for the central localization, great food and view...
It is a bit expensive
Dont forget visiting the Mercado Municipal - City's Market
Dont get nauseous with the frantic commerce
There are surrounding cities worth a visit also.
Have fun!

Curitiba is a green city with many differents parks as Botanical Garden and Tangua Park.
It is a cultural city: museum, shows, theater and several kinds festivals during the years.
If you like a good food and wine, the "Santa Felicidade" is the place.
Another very interesting place is the famous craft fair that happens all sundays in the historic center of city, where you can taste a delicius shopp in one of the many pubs. At night you can enjoy the pubs or dance clubs at Batel.
So, you can organize your itinerary for all parts of day and for all interests. But, just a important tip. Bring your umbrella and a coat. The weather is impredictable. Enjoy!!!

I would rather say its basically becoz of understanding and never quote the word unlucky. The rudiment for anything in this world is to mutual understanding.if you can straighten up on those grounds, im sure impossible is possible. Think and ink positive (BPOSITIVE).Regards, Solomon.C
