Around 6:00 am, to take a stroll along the cobblestone path through the tree-filled park beside the river, toward the medieval gate house, when it's most quiet and everything is shrouded in mist, and a few ducks are gliding in the water... It's quite enchanting.

I've been living here for 55 years and as far as I know restaurants don't serve horse steak, or it's really writtenon the menu-card. Vilvoorde near Brussels is specialised in horse-steaks.

thank you my dear. It's really a fantastic city to visit,but not more for living. The city is propriety from the tourist and no more from the people living there. I've been living there for 55 years and my mom already for nearly 89 years. It's not more our city. But it's really one of the most beautyfull cities in the world.

Traditionally everybody that goes on tours in Belgium stops in Brugge. NO wonder why... it's beautiful canal, going through the heart of the town, defines this place as the "Venice of the North". A boat trip is worth it, especially when it's sunny. The medieval environment just makes you enjoy more your time there.
I just loved it. been there 3 times. i absolutely recommend this town.

Hi Lea,
for years I was for only several hours in Brugge. It is a big city in the North of Belgium. Downtown there are lots of old interesting buildings. Around the big market place there are lots of restaurants and boutiques. People say that Brugge is the the Venice of the North. Just take time and visit the city. Have fun!

Brugge, oh, yes! it's awonderful, interesting little town and a cruise on the canals is so romantic...I visited that pearl of Belgium and i was so happy and fulfill my heart!
