you can go to chenoua its a small village in the west of algiers about 100kms by highway there is a nice restaurant by the sea where you can eat fresh fish and organic vegetables cooked in a mediterannean way its name is "ali bab" people know it there and its not too much expensive otherwise you have plenty of nice places to vsit inside and outside algiers city

if you want an awesome desert experience with the blue men ( Twareg desert warriors and nomads) come visit Tamanraset and Janet (south Algeria) on winter many tourists does that from all over the world , some spend Christmas here even , so check your travel agency and give it a try , i promise you wont get disappointed

Hi Hammou, for years I've wanted to visit Tamanraset and the Hoggar mountains but have been worried about safety. Algeria gets a pretty bad press. However I grew up in Northern Ireland right through the so called 'Troubles', and I would have said it was safe for anyone to have visited the north of Ireland at that time provided they were sensible. Any thoughts?
