Great party town. Beaches nearby as well as studio tours. I live 2 blocks from Hollywood Blvd so I might be a little biased.

On the way to Las Vegas we stopped by my father`s cousin in LA just a few miles to Hollywood. LA is OK hotter than San Jose where my grandma lives. Hollywood is like in the movies, glamor pure and the first time i saw stars not in the sky but at the sky walk from the streets of Hollywood. Rodeo Drive , Universal Studios with its long lines, shopping !!!! oh its not for me.

I loved Hollywood! We didn't have much time to go exploring, but we right in the middle of it all when it mattered!

Hollywood! If you have any fantasy, you may be disappointed. But if you park near Highland & Hollywood, just walk along the Hollywood Blvd.. You may experience a lot of things. You may see lot of stars not in the sky, but on the street. Check how many you know. Chinese Theater is the main attraction for the foot print and palm print of stars.

There is so much to see in LA that narrowing it down can be a bit difficult. So for a general overview/tips, visit http://latourist.com/. But...my own personal favorites include the Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach and Boardwalk, and some of the overlooks off of Mulhullond Drive. On a clear day, the views you'll get are some of most spectular LA has to offer.

Have fun!!

Visiting Hollywood sign exactly near and bottom of it is never forgettable experience. I lived here for more than 3 years so I visited many times with friends. if you take a tour they does not take you to close to this sign. you may go by walk or by small car to get top to this place. Personally if you go to see this sign go near by. Also Visit Kodak theater near by.
