Winter is a great time to visit Phoenix. There are great restaurants everywhere, many things to see that are well worth the time. I would certainly recommend a trip north to visit the canyon. a site well worth the trip. Sedona is a really beautiful place and there is a time-share there which decorates for the holidays.

Come one come all now and enjoy winter in Phoenix. Nearby Sedona,Prescott are great places, its not freezing but will be nice outside in 60s.

The views of the desert are quite lovely year round but watch out for that heat. It can get to a blistering 110 degrees in the summer sometimes. it stays in the hundreds throughout the summer and into the fall. you can suffer heat stroke very easily if you're not careful. I would recommend visiting in the winter when Glendale puts on its Glendale glitters. They decorate up the historic part of Glendale which is a suburb of Phoenix and it's absolutely breathtaking to see it all lit up at night.
