This is a great movie theater. You can actually have a meal while enjoying a movie! How great is that. I have never seen anything like and seriously they need to market this idea a little more. The movie wasn't any more expensive than other theaters and neither was the price of food. So if you are ever in Austin and looking for a different movie experience you must try the Drafthouse.

Not only can you have a meal...obvious as it may be by the name to some...you can actually have BEER while enjoying your meal and movie!! Drafthouse rules!

Austin is "the live music capital" with venues to hear any genre every night. Plenty of parks and lakes. Great dining, from mexican to bar-b-q.

Lots of cool things to do in Austin depending on your tastes. Live music every night and a lot of variety of music as well, many excellent restaurants (again variety), the green belt to hike, many nice parks, lots of cool, funky stores, friendly people. I know that this is a general list with no specifics but there is just so much there. Here is my biggest hint, the best stuff and most fun stuff is in South Austin, so if you visit stay in south Austin and hang out there.

ACL -- Austin City Limits a fantastic weekend of music. SXSW -- South By Southwest is an even longer music festival, you can check online for more information. 6th Street is known for the bar scene. Austin has a lot to offer historically and has a variety of water sports as well. Last year during the winter we had snow, not much just a little, while in the summer we had over 60 days of temperatures over 37.77777 C (or 100 F degrees). This is a town with lots of hills and close to the "hill country" of Texas.
