Saskia 's tip about Copenhagen, Denmark 3rd Oct 2008

Copenhagen is a wonderful city, very small but with the looks of a big city like Paris. Skip the little mermaid and go shopping for fashion and design. Enjoy lovely terraces and eat carrot cake when having coffee. Check out the small side streets of Stroget, the shopping street and go ice skating on Kongens Nytorv. Nyhavn is very pretty and offers a good selection of nice restaurants with a view on water. All Danish food is delicious, so resist the urge to visit fast food restaurants, you won't have Lax like this anywhere else in the world! If you're a real fashion enthusiast, don't forget to visit the CPH fashion fair! Careful for bicycles, half of CPH rides a bicycle so you may want to check if you cross the street.

Steve 's tip about Copenhagen, Denmark 14th Apr 2008

A very clean clean city and very nice too the people like most from this area are very friendly. A must on every ones trip here is the Mermaid made famous by the Grimms. Not far from here is the Royal palace which its nice but the place that impressed me the most was the Tivoli Gardens i was impressed by the layouts etc here. There are many museums here and old castles in the area. The other thing on my must was the Carlsberg brewery tour it must have been good as i forgot the rest of the day for some reason.

Well, it was the famous danish storyteller, H.C. Andersen, that made the little mermaid famous....

I found Copenhagen a very interesting city. Well organized, clean, fantastic to go on foot or by bike because there is a big area closed to the car traffic. the old town area is interesting, amazing the tivoli's park in the center of town. The channels with all those wonderful boats. The Carlsberg brewery is another traditional and interesting place to visit.

come and let's ride bikes! Go out about midnight for some music, culture and beers. Eat fresh from the bakery in the morning!

Very nice city, if you like shopping walk Store Kongensgade street which leads to Nyhavn - cool place with old building, old boats and joints. If you prefer walks in a park, drive to 'Ermitagesletten' park, which is huge, but it's more far to the north.

After 2 weeks in Denmark I decided that there is not a better place than Kobenhavn:) I loved it!Many museums (don't miss Madame Tusseaud's museum), attraction parks (TIVOLI!), a lot of discotheques (Bombay was one of the biggest when I was there in 2003!), many shopping centers (enter in MAGASIN and you won't regret!) and of course the danish castles and canals are making Kobenhawn one of the most beautiful cities in the world!
