try to find living quarters before you travel to Munich, being a very popular city with ex-pats, finding a place to rent can be difficult. Try some of the student rooming houses, students can rent out their rooms for up to three months and they are affordable.

Munich is a nice city for visiting. The main tourist attraction is the city centre itself. You could take a walk in Marienplatz and see the old buildings, some of them reconstucted to give the historical city feeling. The English Garden is a good place to explore and to relax with a maß of beer. There are many options for people who likes museums with the Residenz, Deutsche Museum, Pinakothek etc..Party lovers too have some really good areas to stay alive late into the night. If you have more than 3 days here, then you will find that the state of Baveria have a lots of places to explore. Have a great holiday :)

THe city Hall is not reconstructed but a Neogothic building from the 19th century; reconstructions of older buildings on the Marien Platz were mere repairs of the damage of WW2, not like an artificial historic center. Going to Sendlinger Strasse three minutes from Marienplatz you could see one of the finest examples of architecture by the Asam brothers, their private church, the Asam Church, a real jewel of late baroque & roccoco. The Marien Dom is hundreds of years old & contains the grave monument of a German Emperor; The small Residenz Theatre within the historic residence of the Prince Elector of Bavaria & later Kings, built by Cuvilliers 1733, saw Mozarts premiere of his opera Idomeneo. All decors are original (wood & stucco). The Hunting Museum is just two ston throws from Marienplats. etc. Have fun.

I had a plan to go in Germany as tourist this coming April 2012 but I want to look also if possible to get a work with 3 years or more contract.Anybody can give me advice?
