Porto is a very beautiful and unique city. Crossing the river through the D. Lus Bridge you have the nicest view. Take a walk by the sea in the beautiful and big sidewalks of Foz, enjoy the nicest bars by the sea. Go to the city park and enjoy the beautiful gardens and lakes going all the way until the beach. Enjoy the night life in the Paris Galleries, go down to the ribeira and have a coffee in Peter's caf.
I want to take the rail trip from Porto along the Douro valley. Can somebody tell me its running on 27th or 28th Dec or not? Thanks/Obrigado.
On a foggy day you don't get to see much but the food and shopping are plentiful and to a high standard..
If you are planning travel into Porto you must be there in 23 of june to the great, big and craziest popular party - S. João - the party starts early in the afternoon of 23 June and usually lasts until the morning of 24 June. At midnight you can saw a big firework and then walk all night until 3 or 5 am and you can hit each other either with garlic flowers or soft plastic hammers.
I want to spend 2days in Porto. I want to travel on 26th Dec. Will there be a problem if I want to come by train from Lisbon? It being just after Christmas.
One of the best places of Portugal. I makes a worth spending a couple of days for visiting the wineries or having a good dinner under the bridge near the Douro river. This city is getting renovated everyday so you can see the high contrast beetwen modern and old making so special every corner.
