I am renting a car in Faro this weekend and driving to Lagos, the A22 motorway toll payment scheme seems awkward,is it better to take the EN125 road?

Excellent location for a budget holiday. The town still has the flavor of traditional Portuguese towns (unlike most of the places along the Algarve coast), but is also modern and caters for young travelers with heaps of nice and cheap place to stay. Being very popular with English tourists, it's also ok if you don't speak the language.
Lots of restaurants and bars and plenty of party options, as well as a lovely beach and the chance to see one of the best sunsets in Europe in Sagres.
Highly recommended!!!

Great place to send very very budget vacations on the south of Portugal!!... Great bars, great people, nice beaches! great weather etc etc etc cheap food! If u have no car don't worry is perfect everything is close to everything.. i would get there by train and just walk from camping or room to beach to center to bars ..etc
many many people from all over the place.. more tourists then actual Portuguese's..

Lagos is very beautiful. I got a lot of beaches and the town itself it's great. Driving from Faro to Lagos on the A22 is faster then taking the EN125 but the payment of the tolls in the A22 is absurd not even the locals understand it and some times miss on it.
