Areas of Bangkok

The Chao Phrarya River: The Chao Phraya River is still the epicentre of the city. Cruises and river taxis ferry locals and visitors along, providing a chance to take in some of the stunning temples that are a must for any visit to Bangkok.
Patpong Area: The most popular and fun part of the city for nightlife. It is located between Silom Road and Surawong Road. Plenty of places to go and enjoy a night on the town including the infamous exotic go-go bars and night market.
Sukhumvit Road: In the eastern part of the city is fashionable Sukhumvit Road, this area has plenty of hotels and marks the beginning of a rambling shopping, entertainment and residential district.

Getting there and around

Bangkok International Airport is located about 25km. The journey to/from the city centre takes between 45 – 120 minutes.
Good public transport system including river, canal and skytrain.

Sightseeing Ideas

Grand Palace: The Grand Palace is Bangkok’s most famous attraction. Built in 1782 by King Rama I, each elaborate building is a masterpiece of Thai architecture. The Grand Palace is open to visitors daily, either morning or afternoon.
Floating Market: Located outside of Bangkok this is a must see. Bright, bustling, loud, colourful and a world away from our idea of a market
Thai Cooking Class: In Bangkok you will no doubt indulge in the delights of Thai food. This cooking class allows you to take some expertise home with you.

Top tips

Silks and custom tailoring are extremely good value. Take pictures of your favourite outfits with you and copies can be made to measure.
Pamper yourself in one of the many spa hotels; spa services include traditional Thai massage and other pampering treatments.
For adventure why not take a fun ride in an open-air Tuk-Tuk this really is a Bangkok experience.
