'''COMPLETED MY TRIP TO CEBU-BOHOL-DUMAGUETE LAST AUGUST 9-15,2009 AND AUGUST 15-22, 2009. I had great learning and worthwhile experiences during the trips. My eyes feasted on the beauty and grandeur of nature ( I'm a nature lover) both in Dumaguete (Antalang, Balanan Resort and Forest Camp) and Bohol. They say Dumaguete is a "Land of Gentle People" (I'm not so sure about this based on my experienced with the hotel where we were billeted).

As for Bohol, it is indeed a Land of Nature and History. The famous Chocolate Hills look so great and amazingly beautiful. Standing at the Sagbayan Peak gave me a breathtaking view of nature in its splendor. Dining and cruising (floating restaurant) the Loboc river at night (with multi colored neon lights along the riverbanks) was equally wonderful. The stopover at a floating stage where an entertainment playing ukelele and banjo awaits the cruisers made us enjoy with extreme pleasure. The Historic Catholic Church in Loboc, Dauis, and Baclayon manifested the religious nature of Boholanos. I went inside these churches ( tho I'm a Protestant) and was awed at the architectural design of these churches. So magnificent indeed! I did drink a Miracle Water from the Dauis Church. The museum has all the artifacts to complement the history of the church and the priests.

Cebu is a typical urban city with its historic Sto. Nino Church and Magellan Cross. We visited the Shemberg and it was nice to know firsthand how they processed caregeenan of which they supply a great part of the world. Went to Carcar and saw their historic Catholic church too. Ayala center is a nice place to shop...it has nice ground park landscaped with plants, flowers, and fountains. The expository trips indeed was a great learning, fun-filled, enjoyable and remarkable experiences for me. One of the best days of my life!
