Yes, this a city of enchantment. Yes, the Alhambra will send you to other times and most probably will be seeing pictures of your own past when you go either through the narrow streets surrounding the palace or when you are inside it and all its grad our and magnificence. Go if you can in spring and you'll see beautiful skies. If you go in winter the Sierra Nevada range will portray its snow and the clean air that those who lived in past times had the fortune to breath.
I want to look at the imperial city at the imperial times when this city was powerful and was actually the capital city of that empire that was strong enough to get Napoleon -the clever but psychotic, to marry one of the princesses so peace would be kept momentarily. We are talking of those earlier years of the 1800's. Now much of that period's architecture still stands. Strolling in the old city brings you back to that period instantly. Beauty everywhere, legends everywhere and some people stuck to their houses and streets that have not decided to abandon this city of lights -and sometimes suffering.
